Background:
Davenant Foundation School founded in 1660 in Whitechapel and located on the edge of Epping Forest. Davenant Foundation is a Christian Ecumenical School. The school is supported by the Whitechapel Education Foundation and has great links with others such as higher education institutions, industry and the community. The school has a new purpose-built science block, information technology suites, recently refurbished swimming pool and a floodlit multi-purpose sports area. The school also provides students and members of the local community with enhanced facilities for sports and recreation. The school aims to develop its pupils based on Christian principles through a wide range of curricular and extra-curricular programmes.
