Background:
Founded in 1973, St Teresa's recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. The single-form entry school is housed in a single-storey building, with the church, presbytery and caretaker's house on-site. Recent building projects have provided a purpose-built early years classroom and an extended classroom for Year 6 students. The school has 'extensive' grounds including a large playing field, adventure playground and a quiet garden named 'The Garden of Friends' by the children. The netball team are the current champions in the Knights of St Columba netball tournament. A number of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after school, when children can take advantage of tuition in recorder, chess and ICT and have the opportunity to join netball, football, choir and prayer groups.
