Background:

Hainault Forest High School is a community comprehensive school, for pupils 11-18+ years of age. The school, with excellent facilities, is situated on a pleasant site near to Hainault Forest. Facilities include a sports hall and specialist facilities in English, science, drama, art, technology, humanities and music. The school has a newly built Resource Centre incorporating a library, careers area, ICT rooms and conferencing facilities. The school has a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as: art, design and technology, gymnastics, Christian fellowship, mathematics, music, athletics, football, netball, basketball, cricket, tennis, weight training, community languages, modern languages, ICT, sciences, zoology, food, textiles, literacy breakfast club, drama workshop and also the choir. The school expects all pupils to show courtesy, consideration, respect and understanding for others. Where it is necessary for sanctions they include additional work, detentions, 'on report' to the Assistant Head or Heads of Lower and Upper school, and exclusion. Pupils and parents can be brought before a senior staff and a Governors Panel in serious cases.
