Background:

Beehive Lane Community Primary School aims to provide a challenging curriculum which is broad and balanced and appropriate to the needs of the child. The national curriculum covers the following subjects: English, mathematics, science, art, design and technology, geography, history, information and communication technology, music, physical social and health education, religious education, citizenship and physical education. It has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including netball, football, rugby, country-dance, recorders, recorders, tennis, computer, basketball, chess, guitar, karate, sewing, keyboard and French. The school maintains good links with local pre-school organisations and with the secondary schools in the area in order to ensure a smooth passage for children through the educational system. There is an active Friends of Beehive Lane Association, which is greatly valued by the school. The school aims to provide a caring community where individual needs are recognised and supported.
