Rural school on northern edge of village of East Bergholt, on 20-acre site surrounded by fields and greenery, few minutes from A12 between Ipswich and Colchester in the Dedham Vale. Buildings erected in three stages in 1957, 1971 and 1981; older buildings modernised and refurbished in recent years. Extensive facilities include community sports centre and swimming pool.
