Background:
Earls Colne Primary School and Nursery is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is four to 11. It is extremely well-equipped and has a fully qualified teacher and nursery, which both work full-time. Earls Colne primary school has been housed in a purpose built primary school surrounding the hall erected in 1967. The school occupies a very pleasant rural site overlooking its playing field and outdoor heated swimming pool. The hall is well-equipped for physical education, also used for assemblies and at lunch times is used as a dining hall, with meals being prepared in the school kitchen. The school'sets out a broad, balanced curriculum, which covers and extends the national curriculum and to ensure that all children are working according to their age and ability. A wide variety of extra-curricular activities take place before school, at lunchtime and after-school. The school provides sport activities, which includes: short tennis, multi-sports, dancing and drum majorettes. The school aims to create a well-managed and organised environment where high quality teaching and quality learning can take place effectively.
