Background:
The school was built in 1956 and offers 10 large classrooms arranged around a main hall in a two-storey building. Other facilities include a swimming pool, library and splendid new computer suite. Its extensive grounds provide good grass and hard surface play areas. Many out of school activities are available and the school enjoys considerable local sporting success in fields such as football and athletics. Music is an integral part of the school. In class music lessons all children are encouraged to listen, perform and create music. The range of games available includes football, hockey, netball, rounders, swimming, cricket and rugby. John Bunyan Junior School a place where its pupils feel happy and safe, enabling them to do their best and develop self-confidence.
