Background:
St Andrew's Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School, Marks Tey, was founded in the late 19th century and moved to its present site in 1966. It has a large hall, an ICT suite, a computer system and a library. Staff and pupils have built a new garden, for use in lessons. All national curriculum subjects are taught and children also have the opportunity to learn a wide variety of musical instruments including violin, clarinet, saxophone and recorder. The school achieves highly in local music festivals, netball leagues and athletics competitions.
