Background:

Hutton All Saints CofE Primary School is a Voluntary Aided Primary School serving Hutton and the surrounding districts. It is housed in a single-storey building with four infant classrooms, four junior classrooms, a technology teaching base, a special needs base, library and an all-purpose hall. The site is in Hutton village and includes a playing field. The school was first established in 1840 and transferred to its present site in 1956. A variety of clubs is offered including sports and recorders. Basketball and music are taught by visiting experts and a charge is made for these activities. Children are expected to prepare properly for all clubs and practise skills properly. Parents are encouraged to contribute to school life and the Parent-Teachers Association contributed a children's play area and ten networked PCs to the school. Children in the junior school are taken to weekly swimming lessons. The school aims to 'Maintain and improve the caring and friendly school environment, where Christian principles and worship are taught and practised by pupils and staff alike.' Hutton All Saints' is over-subscribed.
