Background:

History can be traced back to 1536; been managed by Coopers' Company since 1552, when based in Stepney. Believes facilities are among the best of any secondary school in the country, including fully-resourced science centre with eight laboratories, library and resources suite, computer centre, two language laboratories, recording studio, music technology room, drama studio, sixth-form centre, careers centre, exhibition centre, theatre, and new music building with practice rooms and auditorium. Sporting facilities include floodlit all-weather pitch, sports hall, gymnasium, fitness suite, tennis and netball courts, and sports pavilion. Field trips, visits to theatres, museums and art galleries; participation in language and exchange trips to France, Spain and Germany 'form an essential part of a successful and broad education'.
