Background:
Situated in the centre of Chelmsford close to the cathedral, The Cathedral Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School, Chelmsford, is housed in buildings opened in 1946. It offers nine classrooms with two smaller rooms for music and for teaching children with special education needs. A new Early Years unit is currently under construction. There is a library, which is run primarily with the help of volunteer parents. The school has close links with Chelmsford Cathedral and several pupils are members of the cathedral choir. The school has a number of sports teams including football, hockey and netball. The school aims to ensure that every child reaches their full potential within an environment, which is stimulating and exciting.
