Background:
The School was opened in 1912 and is now a foundation primary school for children between the ages of four and 11 years. There are two main classroom areas with two demountable classrooms in the playground. The reception classes and one Key Stage 1 class are housed in the recently built Early Years' Unit. The school benefits from a large playing field. The buildings are accessible to pupils and visitors with a range of disabilities and associated special educational needs. The school offers a range of extra-curricular sporting activities including football, netball and athletics. It also offers clubs extra-curricular activities, which include activities for Key Stage 1, art, choir, dance, football, netball, ICT and textiles. The school provides individual music tuition in piano, keyboard, guitar, flute and violin. The school aims to provide a caring and stimulating environment in which children can develop their individual skills and talents to the fullest.
