Background:
West Leigh Junior School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is seven to 11. This is school where children can enjoy learning and where achievement in all aspects of life is celebrated. The school has 16 classrooms of varying sizes, two halls, a computer suite, a library and two work areas in the upper school, two rooms for special individual work and a modern medical room. A dining hall is also used for large group activities and whole school assemblies, as well as lunchtime eating. It offers the opportunity for children to learn to play a musical instrument, such as clarinet, cello, trumpet or violin and guitar. The school aims to establish and maintain an environment where happy and successful pupils develop a love of learning.
