Background:

Earls Hall Junior School was built in 1938. The school has an attractive and well-maintained building, which it shares with the infant school. The grounds are pleasant and spacious with a large playing field, ample play space and a covered heated learner swimming pool. There is also a separate purpose-built canteen for the children. The school has 12 classrooms, a large hall and an ICT suite, which is also used for music and as a small meeting room. There is a ramp to the main entrance. A lift connects the ground and first floors. A variety of lunchtime and after-school clubs are available to benefit the children. These include football, cricket, netball, badminton, athletics, swimming, choir, orchestra, recorders and art. The school also offers dance and drama club, which is organised by professional performers. It arranges trips and visits to provide opportunities for social development and the experience of the wider community. The school aims to create a learning environment where everyone is able to fulfill his or her full potential.
