Background:

Great Berry Primary School was opened in 1988 to serve the community of Langdon Hills. Recent developments include the establishment of an ICT suite. The very popular, over-subscribed school provides a range of extra-curricular activities such as athletics, choir, orchestra, multimedia, football, netball, skipping, spy watch, mathematics, dancing, recorders and French. Pupils in Year 6 have the opportunity to take part in a residential educational week in the Isle of Wight. The school is proud of its partnerships and links with the local community, especially with St John's Church local playgroups, the Great Berry Residents Association and local businesses. The school also offers non-residential school visits that take place during normal school hours. The school aims to provide a caring, orderly, safe and attractive environment ensuring that the children are made aware of the importance and value of respect and tolerance for others, regardless of individual differences.
